SERVICES
Acupuncture:
Hair thin needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points along the body to stimulate the body’s natural healing response.
Herbal medicine:
Herbal medicine is one of the most important components of Chinese medicine. Chinese herbs are usually used in conjunction with acupuncture or by itself to treat a specific imbalance. Each formula can be custom made to suit you as an individual.
Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation:
A non-surgical way to renew the health and vitality of the face using Acupuncture needles and herbs (both topically as a mask and internally for your constitution). After all, beauty and health start on the inside.
Moxibustion (the burning of moxa):
Moxa is a slow burning herb used in TCM for it’s therapeutic properties of warming (many times arthritis can be caused by a “cold” condition), and tonifying (to help build Qi). Moxa can be used in a stick form above the skin, on top of the needles, or directly on the skin. This treatment is very relaxing and can be used by the patient at home.
Cupping:
Glass jars are heated in order to create a vacuum and placed directly on the skin. The most common uses are to relieve pain and muscle tension, relieve illnesses such as colds and fevers, respiratory problems, nausea/vomiting, and to encourage the free flow of Qi throughout the body.
Electro Acupuncture:
Is the application of a pulsating electrical micro-current to certain Acupuncture needles as a means of stimulating the Acu-point. It is used most commonly in treatment of neurological disease, chronic pain, and paralysis.
Tui Na massage:
Is an oriental bodywork therapy using massage and acupressure in order to bring the body back into balance.
Nutritional counseling:
You are what you eat! Dietary guidelines are an integral part of TCM and are key to maintaining optimal health. I will also sometimes make recommendations for western nutritional supplements as well.
